Machine design engineers must have the ability to visualize what machines look like from the points of view of the people who create the machines, the people who assemble them, and the people who use them.

People who lack the ability to stand in someone else’s position are not cut out for design work.

Machine design is strongly associated with science and engineering, but in reality, an artistic sense and flexible imagination are also extremely important tools.

This is why we seek out people who have a thirst for exploring the landscape of Japanese monozukuri, not only those who know about CAD, science and engineering.

Some of our employees at M DRAFT started with no experience – nothing more than a desire to become machine design engineers.

I still draw upon my own experience of seizing a chance to learn the technology behind machine design and diving into the study.

I still remember discovering one day that my cumulative experiences of accompanying my superiors to work sites and studying had suddenly turned this insurmountably challenging job of designing things into a source of fulfillment.

Seeking new graduates and experienced workers

Job Description Design of machinery for distribution systems for semiconductor and liquid crystal production, used by major electronics and semiconductor manufacturers.

Specifics

  • Involving design work flow from attending meetings, concept design, assembly drawing, component drawing, drawing check, and to delivery by operating CAD.
  • Progress from operator to designer to handling whole companies
  • Ample study time provided for career advancement.
  • Initial assignments commensurate with experience.
  • If we decide we need people who want to do more difficult designs, we will start from the basics.
Experienced worker
Design of automated carriers, automated assembly devices, automated inspection devices and other machines
Eligibility Requirements Graduation from technical　high school/technical school/junior college

*CAD work experience welcome

Salary/Benefits

Salary 200,000-250,000 yen/month
(3-month probationary period in which salary is at least 180,000 yen)
These are starting salaries.
High performers can earn higher salaries.
Experienced worker
Base: 240,000-320,000 yen
Benefits
  • 1 raise per year
  • 2 bonuses per year (July/December, performance-based)
